An 18-year-old with a gunshot wound brought to an Anchorage hospital for treatment died early Saturday.
Police in a 2:20 p.m. Saturday dispatch identified the victim as Elijah Zeller and said no suspects were in custody. They would not say who delivered Zeller to the hospital.
They asked anyone with information on Zeller's whereabouts and activities late Friday and early Saturday to contact APD at 907-786-8900.
Police said earlier Saturday they were notified just after 2 a.m. that Zeller had been brought to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
They said they are investigating the case as a homicide.

Jennifer Castro, police spokeswoman, said later that police would not release the name of the hospital to which the victim was taken. She said in an email that with "outstanding suspect(s) and witnesses to interview," police also would not release information on the man's wound.
"The evidence in the case thus far suggests to us that this was a homicide," she said. "I'm unable to disclose specifically what that is as this is an active investigation and we still have an outstanding suspect(s)."
