Bail set at $100,000 for man charged with abusing children

A man accused of molesting two children for seven years was arrested Monday on five charges of sexually abusing a minor, according to Anchorage police. Jason Thomas Rogers, 49, was booked into the Anchorage jail with bail set at $100,000 after the seven-week investigation into his alleged actions, police said.

According to police, Rogers molested a girl and her friend for years before she reported it to counselors at North Star Hospital. He was charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
