Girl initially reported missing Thursday has been found, Anchorage police say

Update, 5 p.m. Thursday: Anchorage police said in an alert just before 5 p.m. Thursday that Avery Bryant, 5, has been found.

Anchorage police are asking for help searching for a young girl who was reported missing Thursday after getting onto a school bus in Anchorage.

Police said in an alert that Avery Bryant, 5, was last seen around 3:25 p.m. Thursday getting onto a school bust at Lake Otis Elementary School. She was last seen wearing a red zip-up jacket and pink backpack seen in a photo released by the police department.

An Anchorage police spokesperson said the department did not have any other information to share at this time.
