An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 that shook Anchorage just after 6 a.m. Friday was centered about 3 miles north of downtown near Port MacKenzie at a depth of about 25 miles, according to the Alaska Earthquake Center.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
