People gathered at Fort Richardson National Cemetery on Monday to honor the fallen who died while serving in the military. The annual Memorial Day ceremony took place in sunshine and a light breeze. Flags placed at thousands of headstones of veterans flutter in the wind as taps was played after a three volley salute. A message of remembrance included those who have served in the military.
