A rollover crash sent five people to hospital and closed all inbound lanes of the Glenn Highway for an hour Monday.
Anchorage Police wrote they responded to the inbound lanes of the Glenn Highway just before the Muldoon exit at 11:38 a.m. regarding a single-vehicle rollover collision. An SUV had rolled over and come to a stop west of the highway, police wrote.
There were five people inside the vehicle, and all were transported to the hospital, police wrote. The driver and front-seat passenger are believed to have life-threatening injuries. The three back seat passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Just after the accident, all access into Anchorage was cut off, police said in an online statement. The left lane was reopened a short time later, and at about 4:35 p.m. all lanes were reopened. Police are hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision itself, or the events leading up to it.
