Photos: Women police officers from around the world march through downtown Anchorage

A Parade of Nations held on Monday, Sept, 23, 2019, kicked off the 57th annual International Association of Women Police conference being held this week at the Dena'ina Center. Over 700 participants from 43 countries are attending the conference with the theme Mentoring the Next Generation. Anchorage previously hosted the IAWP conference in 1985 and 1998 which are known for outstanding training and networking experiences. (Bill Roth / ADN)
