Police locate family of 3-year-old found walking alone in Anchorage

Anchorage police have located the family of a 3-year-old boy found walking alone Thursday morning in a Sand Lake neighborhood near West 80th Avenue and Country Woods Drive.

Police had sent out an alert to the community around 11:30 a.m. asking for help finding the boy's parents. About 10 minutes later, police sent out a second alert saying the boy's family had been found.

"Thank you for your help," police said. "It is very much appreciated."
