The Seward Highway will be closed for about half an hour Friday night at Beluga Point, between Anchorage and Girdwood, for "an event," Anchorage police and Alaska State Troopers said.
The closure will take place between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., according to a police notification Friday afternoon.
Beluga Point will be inaccessible during the closure, and police dispatchers said drivers should expect to be stopped before reaching it.
