A vehicle crash closed the Seward Highway in both directions about 13 miles north of Seward, Alaska State Troopers said Sunday evening.
By early Monday, the highway was reopened, according to Alaska 511.
“The closure is expected to last for multiple hours,” troopers said in an alert around 6:45 p.m. Sunday. The crash occurred near Mile 13 of the Seward Highway, close to Grouse Creek Road about 4 miles south of Primrose.
Additional details about the crash, including how many vehicles were involved and whether anyone was injured, weren’t included in troopers’ initial alert.
