Two women died Sunday in a collision in Kasilof on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska State Troopers said.
Matthew Smith, 42, was eastbound in a blue Chevrolet Silverado on Cohoe Loop Road around 7:45 p.m. when a westbound Ford Focus crossed the center line and the vehicles collided head on, troopers said.
Hannah Hill, 29, of Kenai, had been driving the Ford and died on scene, troopers said. her passenger, 31-year-old Jessica Neff of Soldotna, also died at the scene, according to troopers.
Smith was brought to Central Peninsula Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
