A 4.0 magnitude earthquake centered near Talkeetna shook Southcentral Alaska at 12:37 p.m. Sunday.
The quake was centered about 14 miles southwest of Talkeetna with a depth of 4 miles, according to an initial report from the Alaska Earthquake Center.

Early reports show the quake was felt from Talkeetna to Anchorage, according to the United States Geological Survey.
