An earthquake with a reviewed magnitude of 4.2 shook parts of Southeast Alaska on Thursday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake — which occurred at 5:57 p.m. — was centered off the coast of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, west of Elfin Cove and Cross Sound, at a depth of 12.7 miles, according to the Alaska Earthquake Center. It was reportedly felt as far away as Haines and Juneau.
A tsunami was not expected, according to the National Tsunami Warning Center.
