A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck Southcentral Alaska at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Alaska Earthquake Center.
The earthquake was centered 22 miles northwest of Anchorage and had a 40 mile depth, the center reported. The quake was initially reported as a 4.2 magnitude, then downgraded.
A tsunami is not expected to follow the earthquake, according to the National Tsunami Warning Center.
