Crash temporarily closes Seward Highway south of Turnagain Pass, says DOT

A crash south of Turnagain Pass prompted closures at Mile 66 of the Seward Highway on Saturday, according to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

Facebook users reported that traffic began moving again in both directions by 2 p.m.

Emergency crews were working to clear the road early Saturday afternoon, according to a DOT alert.

It was unclear how many cars were involved in the crash or whether anyone was injured.
