One dead in Seward Highway motorcycle crash north of Moose Pass

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Seward Highway near Moose Pass Sunday afternoon, the Alaska State Troopers said.

The motorcyclist rear-ended another vehicle at Mile 42 of the Seward Highway, south of Summit Lake.

The incident was called in at 1:18 p.m., troopers said.

Troopers did not release the name of the motorcyclist.

Both lanes of the highway are now open, AST spokeswoman Megan Peters said.
