Anchorage celebrates Independence Day on the Park Strip

After a parade downtown, Anchorage celebrated Independence Day on the Delaney Park Strip. The event featured musical performances from Underground Dance Company, the Alaska Button Box Gang, Malie Delgado and others, as well as a lesson on the history of the U.S. flag and a reading of the Declaration of Independence by the National Sojourners Alaska Chapter. Food trucks and carnival games also attracted a large crowd downtown.
