SubZero Bistro and Microlounge has closed its doors for good.
Multiple bartenders said they were told Friday that the popular downtown Anchorage bar's last night of operations would be the next day.
Susynn Snyder, Williwaw and Humpy's entertainment and marketing manager, confirmed the closure Monday, but declined to answer questions about the reason for SubZero's abrupt end.
"We're excited for the next evolution of the corner of 6th & F street(s)," she wrote in a text message. "We don't have a lot of new information at this time but stay tuned."
The bar is one of several owned and operated by the Humpy's group that includes Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse, Flattop Pizza and Pool and Williwaw.
Williwaw, a multipurpose venue that includes a restaurant and three individual bar spaces within the 15,000-square-foot building, opened its doors across the street from SubZero late last year.
