2nd Ludacris concert announced by Alaska State Fair

After tickets for his first scheduled performance sold out in just a day, the Alaska State Fair on Wednesday announced a second show featuring platinum-selling rapper Ludacris at the 2024 fair.

The second show is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at the ConocoPhillips Borealis Theatre. Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, but were sold out in a matter of hours.

His first sold-out show at the fair in Palmer is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23.

Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, hit the big-time in the early 2000s with a string of hit albums including “Back for the First Time,” “Word of Mouf” and “Chicken-n-Beer.”

He also became a notable actor, working in the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise, which has now produced 10 films.

Ludacris was in the spotlight earlier this month, joining Usher and others in the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show for a performance of the 2004 club anthem “Yeah!”

The Alaska State Fair has announced a number of other concerts for the 2024 edition, including Oliver Anthony, Whiskey Myers, Mt. Joy and Kolohe Kai.
