Oprah Winfrey is having a year of adventure, and so, obviously, she is in Alaska.
The world-famous media mogul flew to Juneau this week to spend several days aboard a Holland America Eurodam cruise ship that is traveling through Southeast. The trip is a partnership between Holland America Line and O, The Oprah Magazine.
Winfrey began posting videos of her trip on social media Monday. And she appears to be having a very good time. ("Getting ready to hike the Mt. Roberts Trail here in Alaskaaaaaaa!" she exclaims at one point with trademark enthusiasm.)
In typical Alaska tourist fashion, she was first awestruck by a glacier.
Then she kind of loses it over some wildlife.
Another fantaaastic sighting. Never been this close to a real eagle. #lovinalaska

And gets kind of confused over why salmon change colors, but it’s OK, we forgive you, Oprah.
Then she talked about going for a hike and got really freaked out about bears, which we can all relate to this summer.

Then she drank a local beer (or beers? The video only shows one but we are skeptical) and was really excited about it.
And then, after all the adventures, she enjoyed the view from the cruise ship while getting to know her "neighbors."
First day aboard. Meeting my neighbors. #hollandamerica

Thanks for freaking out about Alaska, Oprah. We think it's cool, too.
