Iditarod champ Lance Mackey's wife arrested for Spenard domestic violence

The wife of four-time Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race champ Lance Mackey was arrested on Monday for assault. That's according to KTVA-Channel 11.

Tonga Mackey (she goes by Tonya) was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly injuring a family member, referred to in charging documents by the initials "L.M."

Wonder who that might be.

Anchorage Police Department spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker told KTVA that police found enough "physical evidence" to take Tonga Mackey into custody, Monday. She was held until her arraignment in Anchorage court on Tuesday.
