Fairbanksan wins Emmy for work on 'The Simpsons'

According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, former Fairbanks resident, and West Valley High School graduate, Charlie Ragins was honored with an Emmy award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his work desiging backgrounds for an episode of The Simpsons titled "Postcards from the Wedge." Unfortunately the clip doesn't really do justice to the backgrounds that appear in the full episode, but that's the best Alaska Beat can do without sending you to a sketchy section of the Interwebs.
