I am writing in support of Mr. Jack Darryl Simmonds’ letter to the editor on April 26. Mr. Simmonds did a very professional job in comparing patriotism and egotism. He is correct in warning all of us about “the echo chambers of misinformation, half-truths and acrimony.” We need to guard the truth.
