Letters to the Editor

Letter: Ugly political ads

I’ve been in my car a lot lately, listening to the radio and, of course, ads for our mayoral election coming up. I decided to focus on them so I could make a decision. I was completely appalled by Dave Bronson’s ads. They were nasty and negative, always blaming someone or something else for things occurring in Anchorage. Two of his ads even contradicted each other.

I kept thinking the next ad would state what positive/good things he has done since becoming mayor and ideas he has for his next term. No, he never mentioned anything he has accomplished — or gave any ideas for the next few years. So I take it he is stating he has done nothing and has no plans. We don’t need such a negative, nasty, vile person as mayor. One of his ads did inspire me though. When I got home I immediately opened my ballot, voted for Suzanne LaFrance, and drove my ballot to a drop box.
