Letter: Simple rules

As a freshman in high school, I somewhat vividly remember kindergarten. I certainly remember some of the basic practices: Keep your hands to yourself, no name-calling, and use inside voices. These rules were not difficult for me to follow as a kindergartner.

It is of great concern to me that as simple and easy as these things are to do, some politicians on the municipal, state and federal levels seem to have trouble adhering to these basic rules that were no trouble for a five-year-old. Should we put up a “good behavior chart” in our government buildings? At this point, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
