U.S. Army Alaska and the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, hosted a three-day small arms marksmanship competition at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson that ended with a Combined Arms event on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014. Military competitors from around the state fired both rifles and pistols during the event, held to select teams to represent Alaska at the U.S. Army Small Arms Championship in February at Fort Benning, Ga. Competitors also had the opportunity to earn the Army's Excellence in Competition badge and gain points toward becoming a Distinguished Marksman.
