For the first time in more than a decade, a school swept the Alaska state swimming and diving championships when the Dimond boys and girls teams topped the competition Saturday at Bartlett.
The Dimond boys started off the meet with a state record in the 200-yard medley relay en route to their seventh straight state championship — the most consecutive swim championships in Alaska history.
The Dimond girls wrapped up the meet with a victory in the final event of the day, the 400 freestyle relay. It was their first state title since 1994.
