Letters to the Editor

Letter: We need an adult

Dave Bronson says: The Assembly is always picking on me. It’s their fault that the snow didn’t get plowed last winter. It’s their fault that the city had to pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars to city employees that were illegally terminated. It’s their fault that my former municipal manager is suing me. It’s their fault that two police chiefs quit while I was mayor. It’s their fault that my choice to head the library was accused of pulling books that she felt were distasteful off the shelf. It’s their fault that I moved homeless people to a distant eastside park with no warning or notification. It’s their fault that the city is long overdue on its audit and could lose federal funding for non-compliance. It’s their fault that my administration never vetted the chief medical officer — who, it turns out, had completely made up his qualifications.

It’s time to elect a mayor who is a true problem-solver and takes responsibility for getting things done rather than simply blaming others.

So glad that we have a candidate who will lead from Day 1 and knows the buck will stop with her.
