A native of Pennsylvania, the Keystone State, Joe Ditzler moved to Alaska in 2004 to become Mat-Su editor for the Anchorage Daily News.
He's been a reporter and an editor for newspapers in Pennsylvania, California, Florida and New Mexico and for a now-defunct newspaper for scuba divers, Underwater USA.
Ditzler has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Penn State and studied professional writing at the University of Southern California.
