Run-scoring singles from Kyle Henrickson and David Knightes, combined with four East errors, helped Dimond score four second-inning runs Tuesday in a 6-1 Cook Inlet Conference baseball victory over East at Mulcahy Stadium.
Henrickson delivered a two-run single and Knightes drove in a run. Noah Alexander scored two runs for the Lynx and Jared O'Brien went five-plus innings, striking out four, for the win.
East pitcher Gaten Davis struck out nine in a complete-game performance and did not walk a batter. He surrendered one earned run. East's Carl Gatter singled, doubled, stole a base and drove in his club's run.
Dimond and East are both 2-2 in conference.
In another game Tuesday, Chugiak beat Eagle River, 7-0, to remain unbeaten (4-0) and tied for first place with South.
