The Dimond softball team used a pair of hits from Stephanie Gaines to top North Pole 8-4 in a nonconference game Friday at Albrecht Fields.
One of Gaines' hits was an RBI triple.
Lauren Van Sickle clubbed a solo home run to lead North Pole.
On Friday, Dimond's Katie Hanson pitched a five-inning one-hitter and hit a home run to spark an 11-3 win over Chugiak.
Alice Ma was 4 for 4 with three RBI and three runs and Tiffany Jackson was 3 for 4 with three runs for Dimond.
Chugiak scored all of its runs on Dimond errors.
