Magnitude 4.7 earthquake reported near Iliamna volcano

The Alaska Earthquake Center reported a magnitude 4.7 earthquake at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, centered on the southwest side of Cook Inlet near Mount Iliamna, about 43 miles west of Ninilchik.

The quake had a reported depth of 75 miles. According to the Alaska Earthquake Center, it could be felt throughout the Kenai Peninsula.
