Despite catchy jingle, Dish Sushi Bar goes out of business

Turns out that not everyone can come to the Dish anymore.

The Dish Sushi Bar and Japanese Restaurant, which gained local notoriety for its catchy radio jingle, closed abruptly this week after eight years in business.

The IRS held an auction Wednesday, selling off all of the restaurant's assets according to IRS spokesperson David Tucker. Tucker said about 40 people attended. He said auctions are often used as a last resort in a collection action.

Tucker said disclosure laws prevented him from saying how much money was made at auction or how much restaurant owners owe the federal government.

Attempts to reach Dish owner Clyde Kim were unsuccessful Friday afternoon.

News of the restaurant's closure was first reported by KTUU-TV.
