Junior Jamie Ashcroft's UAA-record 24.07 seconds in the 200 meters last weekend at the Triton Invitational in San Diego earned her the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's women's track Athlete of the Week.
Ashcroft trimmed .01 off her previous school standard, and that 24.07 is No. 2 all-time in the GNAC. Ashcroft's time is also the fastest in the conference this season, as is her season-best of 11.70 in the 100 meters.
Ashcroft is ranked No. 11 among Division II sprinters nationally in the 100 and No. 14 in the 200. Her 2015 time of 11.64 is a UAA record in the 100.
The Seawolves women are ranked No. 9 in Division II, up one spot. UAA's men also moved up one spot in the national poll this week, rising to No. 14.
