Police say they're looking for a man who robbed an East Anchorage Subway at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.
At 7:18 p.m., Anchorage police responded to a report about the robbery at the sandwich shop on Northway Drive.
"The suspect entered the store, walked behind the counter, produced a handgun, and ordered the employee to open the cash register," police said. The employee did as the man demanded; the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer, they said.
The robber ran away, police said. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and the three employees working weren't injured, police said.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Anchorage Police Department at 907-786-8900, or to submit an anonymous tip through Anchorage Crime Stoppers.
