Prep baseball: Dimond holds off West late, top of the order boosts Service win

Dimond 8, West 7

Dimond's Kyle Henrickson scored his third run when his team needed it the most — in the top of seventh inning to give the Lynx the go-ahead run in their 8-7 win over West in a non-league baseball game Tuesday at Kosinksi Fields.

Dimond held off the Eagles in the bottom of the inning to conclude the back-and-forth battle.

Henrickson went 3 for 3 in the game, also scoring in the third and fourth innings. Dylan Montagna added a run and drove in two runs.

Hawk Wanamaker propelled West, going 3 for 3 with three runs and three stolen bases. Sean Duffy added three runs and a stolen base.

Service 9, Palmer 6

The first four hitters in the Cougars' batting order mauled Palmer pitching Monday night to lead Service to a 9-6 prep baseball win at Kosinksi Fields.

Those four went a combined 8 for 13, scored eight runs and drove in three runs.

Raleigh Pigg went 2 for 4 — he doubled and tripled — and scored two runs. Ronan Klancher went 1 for 3 and scored twice. Nick Hall went 2 for 3, scored three runs and drove in a run. And Tristen Woods went 2 for 3, scored a run and drove in two runs.
