A resident of Two Rivers died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday, according to troopers.
Medics told arriving troopers that 55-year-old Daniel Begis died at the scene of the crash, initially reported in Two Rivers between Baseline Road and Trickett Lane at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. His next of kin have been notified, troopers said in a Monday dispatch.
"Investigation determined that Begis was traveling southbound on Grange Hall Road at an unknown speed," troopers wrote. "He lost control of the four-wheeler, causing the four-wheeler to roll over several times."
According to troopers, Begis wasn't wearing a helmet.
Begis' body will undergo an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner Office in Anchorage.
