While Trump whines,
Cruz puts GOP rules to work
May I point out another unfair aspect of our political process? People who do not vote — even people who do not vote in the general election when the candidates actually get elected — their wishes are ignored. Is that fair? Absolutely!
Now back to Trump and those "rigged" delegate selections. The rules have been plainly posted since before the primary season began. If they were changed to exclude Trump, they were changed to exclude Cruz as well, yet Cruz has followed the rules and put in the work. Trump, for example, urged supporters in Georgia to attend the congressional conventions where, because they were not urged to attend the district conventions and get selected as delegates, they would be nothing but spectators. And on and on like that. He's the guy who doesn't vote, but wants a voice. Stupid, yes; "rigged," no.

Valiant firefighters, medical staff sincerely cared
The family of Richard Cederberg would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support personnel for the excellent care given him. He passed on March 12 as a result of a tragic accident and spent his last 53 days at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
We also appreciate and thank the firemen from two rescue firetrucks for their valiant efforts to help Richard at the time of his fall.

No taxes until wasteful image-boosting spending stops
To Gov. Bill Walker and the Legislature: You tell us we need additional sources of revenue like taxes because the state budget can't be cut anymore. Is this the same budget in which you spent $50,000 for Washington, D.C., consultants to help prepare you for a visit by President Barack Obama? Is this the same budget that you spent $1,925 for Clark James Mishler Photography to take photos of the Anchorage arrivals of Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry when the White House also has an official photographer?
Only after cutting such wasteful spending should you consider additional taxes.
