Bartlett boys 2, Dimond 1
Malcolm Dunbar took matters into his own hands — er, feet — Tuesday when he executed a tackle near his own box and took the ball down the field himself to score the game-winning goal for Bartlett in the 70th minute.
The Golden Bears beat Dimond 2-1 Tuesday in a Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer match at Bartlett.
Dimond took the lead early when Elijah McKenzie booted in a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.
Bartlett evened the match in the final minute of the first half on a penalty kick by Lorenzo Froehle after Abdi Zirah was fouled in the box.
Chugiak girls 2, East 0
Kinley Sanders racked up a goal and an assist and the Chugiak girls defeated East 2-0 in a late soccer match Tuesday at Chugiak.
Nao Yamada scored off a Sanders cross seven minutes into the game for the Mustangs.
Sanders scored her own goal midway through the second half.
Chugiak boys 1, East 0
Chugiak scored in the final 15 minutes to take the 1-0 CIC boys soccer victory over East on Tuesday at Chugiak.
Daniel Ogden hit Tanner Chandler in the box on a cross from the left side, and Chandler scored the goal for the Mustangs.
Gaolie Ryan Lebo earned the shutout.
Service boys 3, Eagle River 0
The Service boys recorded their second shut out in two days Tuesday with a 3-0 soccer win at Eagle River over the Wolves.
All three goals came in the first half. Dorian Cornichuck scored first followed by Azzam Azzam and Hugo Heraldez.
Azzam also supplied an assist.
Service boys 4, Wasilla 0
The Service tallied three goals in the first 10 minutes en route to a 4-0 win Monday at Wasilla.
Fisher Rogers, Azzam and Heraldez scored early for the Cougars.
South girls 2, Kenai 1
South edged Kenai 2-1 in a Saturday girls soccer match at Kenai.
The Wolverines received goals from Alli Ott and Natalia Cole.
Jordan Foraker assisted both goals.
