Alaska's preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in March was 6.6 percent, unchanged for the past six months.
The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development released new numbers Friday that included revisions for last year's preliminary monthly numbers.
The figures show a small but steady increase in Alaska's unemployment rate last year, from 6.4 percent in January to 6.6 percent in December. Early numbers last year reflected 6.4 percent unemployment at the end of 2015. Those estimates are subject to big revisions at year's end.
Alaska's unadjusted statewide unemployment rate was 7.3 percent in March, down from 7.7 percent in February. That reflects a typical seasonal change, the department said.
The unemployment rate was 5 percent nationally in March.
