Chelsea Holmes earned the silver medal in the women's race to lead a group of five Alaska men and women into the top six in Saturday's Super Tour races in Burlington, Vermont.
Annie Hart of Vermont topped the women's 5-kilometer freestyle race in 11 minutes, 36.2 seconds. Holmes, who skis for the Alaska Pacific University club program, was second in 11:39, and APU's Jessica Yeaton was fourth in 11:46.8.
Anchorage's Lydia Blanchet, a freshman at Dartmouth, was sixth in 11:54.2.
The men's 10-K freestyle win went to Dartmouth's Patrick Caldwell in 20:42.9. APU skiers David Norris (21:22.5) and Lex Treinen (21:29.9) finished fourth and sixth, respectively.
