Joshua Linn hammered in two goals for Eagle River and the Wolves beat South 2-1 Wednesday at Ben Boeke Arena in boys Cook Inlet Conference hockey action.
Linn found the back of the net in the second period and less than two minutes into the third period.
South made it a game again with a third-period goal by Ben Trujillo, but Eagle River held on for the one-goal win.
South goaltender Max Irwin had 25 saves and Trent Bumham stopped 20 pucks for Eagle River. Bumham also assisted on Linn's second goal.
