The sixteen-team Lime Solar/Pepsi Invitational tipped off Thursday at Anchorage Christian and the defending tournament champions stole the show on the first day.
The highest scoring game of the day featured defending boys champion ACS against Eielson. Trey Huckabay led ACS with 33 points in the 86-66 win.
Barrow, the defending girls champion, won by 55 over Delta — the largest girls win margin of the day. The duo of Angel Telfair and Rose Mongoyak each scored more (13) than the entire Delta team combined (11).
The three-day tournament of mostly Class 3A teams concludes Saturday.

Friday's games
Barrow boys 73, Delta 57
Kamaka Hepa scored 29 points and Travis Adams tallied 17 to lead Barrow over Delta.
Martese Blankenship had a team-high 24 for the Huskies.
The game was tied 18-18 after the first quarter before Barrow pulled away.
Barrow girls 66, Delta 11
Four Barrow players scored in double figures compared to zero for Delta and the Huskies cruised to a 66-11 victory.
Angel Telfair and Rose Mongoyak had 13 points apiece to lead Barrow. No Delta player had more than four points.
Valdez girls 71, Point Hope 61
Bobbi Mott scored 19 points, Katy Merioles added 18 and Valdez overcame a first-quarter deficit to beat Point Hope 61-71.
Shauna Koonuk poured in 21 for the Harpoonerettes.
Valdez boys 50, Kotzebue 31
In a defensive battle, Valdez trumped Kotzebue off 21 points from Seth Auble.
Marvin Lee had 14 as the only Kotzebue player in double digits.
Bethel girls 42, Kotzebue 30
It took a while for the teams to get going — Kotzebue led 6-5 after the first quarter — but Bethel eventually found some rhythm off scoring by Faith Brink (23 points) to get the win.
Maite Nelson-Loya and Caitlin Conwell both had 11 for Kotzebue.
Bethel boys 75, Point Hope 34
A lopsided 25-2 first quarter told the story for Bethel. The Warriors rolled past Point Hope to win by 61 points.
Mason Alexe and Clevon Constantine did most of their damage in the first half for Bethel. They scored 16 points apiece.
ACS girls 67, Eielson 36
The trio of Amir Williams (21 points), Chaunice Carr (19) and Jessie Davis (18) lifted ACS to a huge victory over Eielson.
The Ravens garnered eight points apiece from Shelby McCahon and Hannah Cole.
ACS boys 86, Eielson 66
Trey Huckabay lifted ACS over Eielson with a tournament-high 33 points.
The defending tournament champion's 86 points were also a tournament-high Friday.
Antonio Griffith led Eielson with 27 points in the loss.
