Fairbanks man's death ruled a homicide; troopers look for stolen truck

The death of a 57-year-old Fairbanks man whose body was found at his home last week has been ruled a homicide, state troopers said Wednesday evening.

Although few details were immediately available, troopers said Ronald McKnight's body was discovered Dec. 10. His next of kin was notified and his body was sent to the state medical examiner.

Troopers say they received results from the autopsy and ruled McKnight's death a homicide, although the agency did not state the cause of death. Troopers also said McKnight's truck was stolen after his death.

The truck is described as a 1992 green Ford truck that has a utility bed with a red truck topper and a white stripe down the side. There are also rust spots on the body and the license plate number is JAX474.

Anyone with information on the truck is being asked to call troopers in Fairbanks at 451-5100.
