A Wasilla man faces numerous charges after he drunkenly drove to his estranged wife's location with his two young children in the car and fired six shots into the air, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers said they were called to a home on Penny Lane in Palmer around 11:50 p.m. for reports of shots fired. Gustav Walstrom, 24 of Wasilla, had driven while under the influence of alcohol to the location of his estranged wife and fired into the air, according to troopers.
Walstrom left and on his way home drove into a ditch and back onto the road again. Someone called in a report about his driving, troopers said.
Troopers said they located Walstrom at his home and also found the firearm he used.
Walstrom was arrested and taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. He faces charges including endangering the welfare of a minor, possessing a firearm while intoxicated and driving under the influence.
