Family continues search for missing Anchorage woman

Police say they have suspended a search for a 22-year-old Anchorage woman missing since Thursday whose car was found empty at Kincaid Park.

Nancy "Bee" Sourivong was last seen at her parents' home at the Dimond Estates Mobile Home Park in South Anchorage at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, police said; she was reportedly wearing glasses, blue jeans and a black-and-white tunic-style top.

She left her phone at home before she disappeared, according to a missing person flier.

Her empty car was found Friday morning at Kincaid Park in West Anchorage with some of her belongings inside.

Sourivong is described as 118 pounds and 5 feet, 3 inches tall with brown hair cut into a short bob.

The Anchorage Police Department search team combed the Kincaid area for Sourivong on Friday and for about five hours Saturday, said spokeswoman Jennifer Castro.

There was no formal police search for Sourivong on Sunday, but some of her family members walked the Kincaid beach that morning to look for her, according to a Facebook group devoted to her disappearance, "Help find missing Nancy 'Bee' Sourivong."
