Eagle River woman charged with felony DUI in Homer is repeat offender

HOMER — A 26-year-old Eagle River woman convicted twice of driving under the influence of alcohol has been charged again after a crash Tuesday.

Alaska State Troopers say Sarah K. Kirk is charged with felony driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license and violating probation after a crash at around 2 a.m. near Homer.

Troopers took a call that an impaired woman in a small pickup had driven into a ditch and then departed. Officers found the truck crashed at a different location.

Kirk was transported by medics to South Peninsula Hospital for treatment of injuries and arrested after she was released.

Troopers say her probation called for her to not drink alcohol and to stay in the Anchorage area.

She remained jailed Wednesday at Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.
