No injuries have been reported in a floatplane accident Saturday morning, Anchorage fire officials said.
The accident happened about 10:30 a.m. Nearby, at Ted Stevens International Airport, a large annual training exercise was taking place, an Anchorage fire dispatcher said -- making the Lake Hood accident a "real-life emergency" in the middle of the exercise.
"We had units fairly close," the dispatcher said, adding that 14 units responded.
She said multiple people may have been in the plane but there did not appear to be injuries.
