Few details were immediately available, but in an online dispatch troopers wrote they received a report of gunfire off Big Eddy Road in Soldotna. When officers arrived, they found the wounded man in a vehicle.
A LifeMed flight took the man, whose name was not made available, to an Anchorage hospital. Troopers said they did not know the extent of his injuries.
