Lucas Thorp swatted a three-run homer in the first inning Sunday to power Dimond past the Valley 7-2 in an American Legion baseball game in Wasilla.
Dimond's Joe Fitka provided three hits, including an RBI double, and pitcher Billy Orth threw the final five innings for the win.
Dalton McHugill struck out seven in five innings in a losing cause for the Valley.
Chugiak 6, Kenai 3
Chugiak scored three runs in the eighth inning to break a deadlocked game and secure a 6-3 Legion win Saturday over host Kenai.
Jack Straub drove in two runs and Matt Hess scored twice and pitched two innings of relief for Chugiak.
